Octav helps you quickly retrieve histories, produce consistent reports and export the data your client needs. Each item of PPE has its own QR code, or an NFC tag you program with its link, so you can find its compliance status, next inspection date and inspection history online.

Yes. Octav exports your PPE lists to Excel, and your reports download as PDFs, to make tracking and reporting easier. For large accounts with extensive PPE fleets, the client extranet gives permanent access to the full inventory, inspection reports and upcoming deadlines.

Fall-protection PPE must be inspected at least once a year by a competent person, in accordance with the French order of 19 March 1993. This annual inspection is supplemented by a visual examination by the wearer before each use. Octav handles the annual inspection; before use, the wearer can check the status of the PPE by scanning its QR code.

Octav attaches each item of PPE to a fleet, by client and by site, not to a user account: the wearer’s name can serve as the fleet name. Each item keeps its serial number, commissioning date, expiry date and inspection history.
